Diploma Courses Online – Have Your Cake and Eat It Too
A question I’m often asked, by students who are interested in enrolling in Diploma Courses Online, is how can I make it work? And they’re not wrong for asking. Many students who look at studying diploma courses online already hold full time jobs. They have families to look after. They are finishing internships, but they want that extra qualification to help push them to the next level within their chosen career.
So to answer the question, I thought I’d share a little about how Forme’s Diploma courses online can be incorporated into any lifestyle. Hopefully, it can help you if you’re still deciding whether a diploma online course is right for you.
Have your cake and eat it too with Diploma Courses Online:
In one of my late night ‘internet surfing’ sessions last week, (on the lounge, feet up, with pizza… of course), I found myself looking for some inspiration. Be it a great entrepreneurial story, a tale of survival or just some good old Tony Robbins and his famous ‘words of wisdom,’ I wanted it. It was the end of a long, busy working week and I needed that daily dose of ‘you can do it.’ A little extra push to get through to the weekend.
So while I was flat out scrolling though pages of memes and way too many cat YouTube videos (we are all guilty of it… am I right?), I came across an image with the old saying across it, “You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” My immediate reaction was… why? This old saying is something we hear thrown around all the time, but is it always the case? Is it always impossible to have something work in your favour, both ways? Does there always need to be a good half and bad half to any situation?
For me, the notion that we can’t enjoy the best of both worlds, at the same time, never sat well with me. Perhaps its because I’m competitive by nature and a little stubborn. Who knows? But it got me thinking of ways in which I could prove that we can, in fact, have our cake and eat it too. Particularly when it comes to studying diploma course online.
Scenario one: You have a full time or part time job. You work up to 5 days a week. You like the company you work for, but have your eye on a position in another department. The only way you are going to be considered is if you have a nationally recognised diploma. You panic. You can’t cut back at work. You can’t make it to classes during the day. You don’t have the time to travel to exams and meet up for group projects. You put it in the too hard basket.
Scenario Two: You used to work full time. You’re currently a stay at home mum with quite possibly the best kids in the world. You’re thinking you would love to get back into the work force at some stage, in some way, but you’re not too keen on taking the kids with you to college. Who is going to pick them up from school? Who is going to cook their dinner? You ask yourself, how am I possibly going to make it to class? It can’t happen now. It’s the wrong timing. End of conversation.
Scenario three: You just finished secondary school. Hooray, party time! It’s time to travel and earn some money. But you ask yourself, shouldn’t I be looking at university? Shouldn’t I be setting myself up with some sort of qualification to help towards future employment? But you’re over classes. You’re tired of getting up the same time every day, having your name marked off a role. You want freedom, flexibility, and independence. These are the best years of your life. You put study to the back of your mind and book that ticket to London.
Study in the traditional sense is not suitable for any of the above scenarios, and it might not be suitable for yours either. But when you study diploma courses online, you can have your cake and eat it too. You have the luxury of being able to work your study around your lifestyle and not your lifestyle around your study. Enjoy the best of both worlds and get into your dream job sooner. Here’s how it works…
