Know Your Cheer Squad
Who do you turn to when you’re struggling with your studies? Can you identify the people in your life who care deeply, and those who don’t have the time or inclination to worry if you succeed in your studies or not?
As you progress through your online course you’ll come to recognise those who care and those who don’t. The people who care are important to your success; they will support you and help you overcome the challenges that pop up every now and again.
In times of difficulty, or when you experience a lack of interest or motivation, you may need to ask for help. Whether it’s someone to lend a hand when assignment deadlines are looming and you need help with day-to-day chores, or just a sounding board to bounce your ideas off. These people will give you the encouragement and assistance you need to continue with your studies.
It’s important to build yourself a solid support network of people who are supportive of your study. We call them your cheer squad.
Qualities of a great cheer squad
- Active listeners
- Question Constructively
So who is your cheer squad? They could be friends, family or fellow students. Or perhaps they are your trainers or educators.
Remember, you’re not alone with your studies. Forme educators offer unconditional support to all students. They are there for you in times of need. When a learner connects with their educator regularly, we see a dramatic rise in the completion rate of that student and these benefits should not be underestimated.
Identify and connect with your cheer squad and you’ll be sure to reap the rewards and feel more supported and motivated while you pursue your dreams and study online.
